Romyna becker, psychotherapist
I am honored to be part of your journey.
“What is broken can be mended, what hurts can be healed. No matter how dark it gets, the sun is going to rise again.”
You’re in the right place.
You don't have to go through this experience alone. Life might feel overwhelming to you now and your decision to come into therapy isn't easy. I provide a calm, secure setting where you can freely share your concerns. Many of my clients are adults, young adults, entrepreneurs, working women and parents. In our work together, I will listen compassionately and without judgment. I consider it an honor to walk alongside and assist you as a supportive and consistent guide in your journey towards healing and strength.
My therapy approach is client-centered and incorporates a holistic focus. I utilize a combination of evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. I explore how upbringing, early relationships, and the larger systems in society impact our identities as individuals. I’ll support you to uncover the patterns of your unhelpful beliefs, underlying emotions, and how you relate with people.
I also integrate the latest neuroscience research to help you learn about your autonomic nervous system and make lasting neurological changes in the brain through a somatic-based therapy model called Brainspotting, which uses brain science, eye position, and intentional focus to help process your emotions deeply, heal trauma and support you to fully embody yourself.
I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am fluent in Spanish and can provide therapy sessions in Spanish. It is my privilege to help pave a new way forward in your life and relationships. I truly enjoy my work as a therapist and look forward to meeting you! I offer therapy sessions at my office and via teletherapy.
My very best,
Romyna
